By using this service to get quotes or negotiate transactions through CurrencyAssist SA (Pty) LTD (“CurrencyAssist SA”) and its partner companies you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Your Information
You will at all times ensure that the information you have provided in the CurrencyAssist SA payments system is accurate and up to date. All fields that are marked as required must contain valid information. Attempts to mislead or misrepresent your information or information associated with your payees will be reported to the relevant authorities and lead to the immediate denial of access to the CurrencyAssist SA website and CurrencyAssist SA services.
CurrencyAssist SA shall in no way, and under no circumstances, be liable for any damages or losses, including without limitation, direct, indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive damages deemed or alleged to have resulted from or caused by the following scenarios:
- Payments made to unintended Recipients or payments made in incorrect amounts due to the input of incorrect information by Senders;
- for any fraud, deception or misrepresentations by Users, whether or not the User is verified in any manner;
- any damages resulting from a recipient’s decision not to accept a payment made through CurrencyAssist SA;
- any errors or omissions in the website content; the misuse of the web site content or the inability of any person to use the site; delays, losses, errors, or omissions resulting from failure of any telecommunications or any other data transmission system and the failure of the central computer system or any part thereof;
- any results from Barclays Plc or third party banks used to transmit, settle or pay out clients funds, any results of any acts of Government or authority, any act of God or force majeure.
Banking
To use this service you must have a bank account from which you will pay CurrencyAssist SA or its affiliates any monies owed as a result of transactions completed through the CurrencyAssist SA website.
Privacy
You agree that by using this service you authorise CurrencyAssist SA and its Partners to pass on information to regulatory authorities as required by law. You contact information will not be sold to third parties.
Conversion of Funds
On occasions the system may not allow CurrencyAssist SA to perform conversions due to technical problems and CurrencyAssist SA takes no responsibility for adverse exchange rate movements that occur during these outages.
Cleared Funds
CurrencyAssist SA will quote the client an exchange rate via a dealer (telephonically or email) or via the electronic online system during business hours. Once clients have accepted a quote via verbal or electronic means they may not cancel the trade with CurrencyAssist SA . CurrencyAssist SA will under no conditions pay out customer funds until cleared funds have been received from customers.
Payment of Funds
Upon conversion, CurrencyAssist SA will endeavour to pay client funds to the nominated beneficiary using the account details provided. Should this payment be returned due to incorrect account details or of the like, CurrencyAssist SA accepts no responsibility for any fees taken out or any loss of interest during this period.
CurrencyAssist SA will always attempt to act in the best interests of its clients. The foreign exchange physical settlement process relies on an inter-bank, third party settlemnt function. CurrencyAssist SA accepts no responsibilty for any losses or fees caused as a result of the third party settlement process.
Identification
CurrencyAssist SA collects identification from customers prior to CurrencyAssist SA paying out the proceeds of a client’s transfer. In general we collect identification in the form of a copy of a passport and a utilities bill/bank statement showing your current residential address. Please provide a certified copy of your passport. The passport must be dated and signed ‘Original seen’ and can be certified.
